1. Formula-first design
Each calculator starts from a defined mathematical relationship, conversion factor or documented planning model. The formula or method is shown on the calculator page whenever a compact expression is meaningful.
2. Input and unit checks
Inputs are labeled with the units expected by the calculation. Related calculators are consolidated when one set of inputs can naturally produce several useful results, while legacy direct links may remain available for compatibility.
3. Numerical verification
Before release, the calculator library is checked for JavaScript syntax errors, missing pages and assets, broken internal links, non-finite default outputs and selected benchmark calculations. High-value comparison tools receive additional scenario checks so totals reconcile with their component values.
4. Result interpretation
For finance, health, statistics, home, technology and other practical categories, the result should explain important assumptions and limitations. A precise-looking number is not treated as more certain than the inputs or model justify.
5. Corrections
If you find a result that appears incorrect, use the Contact & corrections page and include the inputs, observed result and expected result or source. Reports can be used to improve the calculator and its explanation.
